Instead what I'll do for my special day
My darling friend Alyson did the oh-so-fabulous flowers for me. Each arrangement was just a little different from the other. So great! Thanks Alyson!
A glimpse of the buffet table. I had so much fun planning the food...everything had to be pink, of course! I made two salads, one a strawberry spinach one (with yummy Skor bits in it) and the other a turkey cranberry one (even the dressing was pink). My mom made her homemade rolls and we had shrimp cocktail (pink-ish). For desserts we had divine butter thumbprint cookies with pink filling, (thanks, Mom and Chels!) double chocolaty chocolate cake balls drizzled with pink icing, (that Chels and I had fun making one night together) pink lemonade cupcakes, strawberry cream cupcakes, and my personal favorite...pink crown-shaped sugar cookies with silver dragee "rhinestones." Too fun!!
Here is a close-up of one of my favorite things...the favor tree. I spray painted tree branches and hung every shade of mini pink nail polishes from it. Each guest got to choose their favorite to take home.
I filled the apothecary jars with strawberry whoppers, pink gumballs, pink mint lozenges and giant strawberry marshmallows.

I found this glass tag at my favorite store in the whole world, Dear Lizzie.
It called out to me..."Hailey, buy me! I would be perfect for your pink party!" So naturally, I did! Wouldn't you?
My friends and family...

After dinner I passed out bubblegum and we tried to get a picture of all of us blowing bubbles, but with that many girls, it was kind of impossible all at once!

So we opted for a fun girly pose...

After dinner I wanted some photos of everyone...Here's Steve's mom Julie, and Team Blonde: my sister-in-law Jeanne, (me) and my sister-in-law Katherine. Hard to believe we're in-laws, don't you think? Love you girls!

My friends from my ward: Karilyn, Annie, (me), Natalie and Chrissy. Karilyn is my current v.t. partner, and the rest of us used to be the Primary Presidency...funny how callings make you such great friends too!
The Olsen girls...only they're not all Olsen's anymore. Some of my oldest, dearest friends...so many fun memories, especially with Boo (real name Krista, far left) starting from my sophomore year in high school. Next is Lauren, Betsy, Erika and Kristy O. You all are the best!
My friend Brooke (far left) whom I've reconnected with after several years (we lived by each other until I was 7) and now I do her hair! She absolutely spoiled me with 30 pink presents!! (Brooke, I'm loving the body wash, and my birthday cake candle is already gone!!)
My friend Alyson who was also my party-planning cohort. The two of us together can be quite devilish. We tend to get a little carried away with the details. We both have 2 boys, so we need a little girlyness to balance it all out!
My little sister and best friend Chelsea flew here from California to be here for my bash!It was one of my favorite visits with her...aquacizing, anyone? Let's do it again soon!
And my party wouldn't have been what it was without my dear sweet hubby, Stevie Wonderful. He is so patient and accomodating to my every whim---he lets me do whatever makes me happy, and I love him for it!! Isn't he the best?
He wanted me to enjoy my own party and not have to play hostess, so he stayed and made sure everything ran smoothly. Don't believe for a second that I "made" him do it like he says. The whole thing was his idea. (okay so the pink shirt was my idea). He loves to pamper people!
After our photo opp, it was time to kick off our shoes and dance.
The true party die-hards were ready to cut a rug.
And let me tell you, moves were busted!

And even though there were no apple-bottom jeans, (or boots with the fur, for that matter) these shorties definitely "got low"

Whew! That was SO much fun. I LOVE a good dance party! Then things got a little silly. The only ones left by the end of the night were my aunt Holly and her two girls Hillary and Tenley, and my mom and Chels and me. We tend to get slightly obnoxious when we're together, and that night was no exception.
You know those cheesy senior portraits when people are looking fakely dazed? Like they're looking into the distance and pondering life while looking horribly unphotogenic? (do you know what I mean, or is it just us?)We decided to do our own.
Here's me.
My aunt Holly
Chels and I. Or is it Me and Chels?
Hilly, Ten, Holl, Chels, Me and Mom
Kiss Kiss!
The pinkalicious trio...we really have a blast together. Love you!
Thanks so much to all of you who were able to come and make my birthday something so memorable. I love you all, and here's to 30 more fun years together!
