California Girls

In July my mom and I had the chance to go to California to visit Chels. Yaaaayyyyy!! It was a GIRLS ONLY trip, and it was so much fun! (good job mom for flying!)
And even though it was girls only, good thing we had a trusty cameraman Johnny there to take these two fab pics of us!
One with just the top of Gretel's head
And one without any of our heads. love ya, Johnny!
First things first: What would a trip out of state be without a delicious Wetzel's Pretzel? Warm, buttery, salty, soft....you really have never had a pretzel until you've had a Wetzel.
I seriously dream about them.

We spent lots of time doing what we do best...eating at lots of yummy places and shopping at even yummier places. We even combined the two and had a cupcake picnic in the dressing room. Our gourmet-looking cupcakes weren't as decadent as they looked, so that was kind of a bummer.

Gretel and her famous lizard tongue. It is the longest tongue I have ever seen. This picture doesn't do it justice!

We made a pit stop in the lingerie department on the way to the elevator...

My mom refused to pose with a sexy little number. Chels tried to chase her down.

We were in hysterics!

I brought these delish caramel corn cobs for us to nosh on while we were lounging. I found them at the grocery store and thought they were horrifying and funny at the same time!

We went to have Gretel's picture taken and we posed by her portrait that was on display at the store...what a little model!

Move over, Nick Arrojo! There's a new hairdresser in town (who doesn't give hideous, dated haircuts!)

On our last day there Chels had 4 of her friends come over for some hair makeovers. I had so much fun getting to know all of them! What darling girls they are!

Below are 2 out of the 4.

Thanks girls for playing beauty parlor in the kitchen with me...it was way fun!

Here we are eating our yummy desserts: mud pie a la Shauna, and pound cake with lemon curd and fresh berries a la Chelsea. We indulged with our treats and our trashy TV (the Bachelorette) and TONS of laughs. (the Silver Belles made their California debut with a hot new rendition of the Janice Kapp Perry song "Testimony"...it was a hit, to say the least!)

Until next time ladies!

I wish we ALL could be California Girls!
