Hippity Hoppity

The Easter Rabbit (not bunny) as Hudda calls him left the kids' baskets outside for them to find. They couldn't dig into their loot fast enough
Or decide which scrumptious treat to eat first...

Half the fun of Easter is the new church duds, but we were all sick so nobody went to church (except me, since I had to conduct). We all dressed up that night though to go to Mimi and Pop-C's house (we're trying to phase out calling him Craiger since the kids now have dropped the "-er" and now just call him Craig....not very grandpa-ish!) for our Easter feast

Ever since I was very little, my grandparents were members of the Salt Lake Country Club. We would have our Easter dinner there every year, but they passed away 2 years ago and we sold their membership. This was the first Easter not going there, and it felt so different! We decided we wanted to recreate the buffet they serve there, so that's what we did...
My mom called and ordered some of our favorite salads there along with some breadsticks. She told them that we needed them to serve about 14 people- some of them being kids- so we didn't need huge portions. My dad went to pick it up the day before, and would anyone like to guess the grand total for 2 salads and roughly 3 dozen breadsticks?

$192.00 !!!!!!
My dad about had a heart attack!! What could he do? They had ordered it after all... They just had no idea they would be charged that much!! Highway robbery!! My mom can't stop thinking about it--she is so upset! We kept joking that everybody better eat up their $30 salads!

All the food was really yummy, and I made two different kinds of cupcakes...

Boston Cream Pie

and Fresh Strawberry with Vanilla Buttercream frosting. Yum!

For the entertainment, Hudson and Oliver got down performing one of their fave songs,
"Low" by Flo Rida. Very Sabbath appropriate.
