Much Ado about Something

January 24, 2009
Happy Anniversary to my sweet hubby! We've been married for eight fabulous years. Here's what we did to celebrate:

We let Mimi and Craiger take the kids for the night while we went to dinner at Ruby River (one of our many faves) and then went to see this movie. His choice...I had already seen it! Then we enjoyed a nice peaceful night of sleep without Hudson coming in our room (like he does almost every night). The next morning we actually got to sleep in (until 9:30!)....the best part about the whole thing! After that we went to brunch here. So yummy and somewhere out of the norm. Then we went to go pick up our cute kiddies from their sleepover.

I am truly the luckiest girl in the world. Sorry girls!
Let me just share a quick little every day life example:

I had gotten home from work at about 7:00 on a Saturday night. I was exhausted from being on my feet all day and could tell I was getting sick. The kids wanted me from the second I walked in the door. I sat down on Hudson's bedroom floor to play with them while Steve proceeded to bring me comfy clothes (without me asking) and went in the kitchen to make me dinner.

After getting the boys to bed, I remembered I our bed needed sheets put back on it...always the worst thing for me! I walked in our room ready to start the chore, when what should I see, but the bed waiting for me with fresh sheets on, turned down for me to crawl in, with a snack laid on my pillow. Here is a picture of it.

I hope I'm not embarrassing my cutie pie, but seriously...he's the best! I quietly yelled downstairs (where he was) that I loved him and thanked him so much, when he said: "Wait!" Then he proceeded to run up the stairs and pull an icy cold glass of chocolate milk out of the fridge to go along with my snack. Told you he was the best!

And like my uncle always says about guys like him: "That is definitely NOT the norm."

Love him, love him, love him!

*So tell me...what's great about your guy? Spill it!
